Meet
Mari Kay
Mari Kay Dono, M.S., CCC-SLP
Mari Kay Dono is a licensed speech-language pathologist in Ohio with her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Marquette University.
Mari Kay is passionate about helping children find their voice and build strong communication skills. She has experience working across a variety of settings—including schools, private practice, outpatient clinics, and home care—and brings that well-rounded perspective into her work with children and families.
Her primary focus is supporting children with speech and language delays, including challenges with social (pragmatic) language and executive functioning. She is dedicated to creating a supportive, engaging environment where children feel confident communicating and making progress.
Mari Kay’s interest in speech-language pathology began with her own background as a vocalist, and she continues to bring that love of voice and communication into her work. She has also worked with professional voice users and has experience across the lifespan, including medical settings where she helped develop a Modified Barium Swallow program.
Above all, Mari Kay values building strong connections with children and their families, partnering together to help each child succeed.
